The requirements for a driver to rent a car in Rhodes are very reasonable.
As far as what’s required to get your car, there are only 3 things you need to have:
a. A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE + ID or Passport
If you have a valid EU driving license, then you can drive with it legally in Spain as long as it is valid.
UK Driving License holders can use their valid UK license to drive in Rhodes in a rental car.
b. Drivers from outside the EU who have a New type license in English they can drive in Rhodes.
The International Driving Permit (IDP) in only necessary if you are not an EU citizen and your driving license is not in English, or it’s an old type license.
c. The age limit is 23 to rent a car in Rhodes, and you must have more than 1 year driving experience.
